Quality begins with the drawing, specification and revision supplied for quotation and production. The required dimensions, tolerances, materials, finish and inspection evidence are reviewed before an appropriate manufacturing and verification route is approved.
Inspection approach
Inspection may include first-off checks, in-process verification, final inspection, gauges, dimensional measurement and retained records. The exact method is selected according to the feature, tolerance, production quantity, process risk and customer requirement.
Tolerance qualification
Capricorn Components does not apply one unsupported tolerance claim across every machine, process and component. Tolerances are assessed against component geometry, material, production method and drawing requirements during quotation and technical review.
Traceability
Material, production and inspection traceability is applied according to the contract, drawing, quality plan and agreed documentation requirement. Customers should state any material-certificate, batch, inspection-report or special record requirement at RFQ stage.
